Beauty and the Beast

This year Union School's play was Beauty and the Beast.  Both girls were in the chorus.  As villagers they both dressed up as boys, neither was happy about that, especially Larissa who was a boy last year too.  Larissa was also a plate, and Kaylee a knife.  And in one scene they were both gargoyles.

 

Kaylee's Birthday

Kaylee is now 12, she was very busy on the 17th and didn't arrive home until about 8:30 because of play practice which is always very intense the last week before the performances.  When she got home she opened her gifts but was too tired to bother with cake.  We cut the cake and sang Happy Birthday to her the next day.  Even now she hasn't had time to try on clothes or test out the Cuttlebug. 

 

Ben Learns to Ride a Bike

Today Ben announced that he wanted the training wheels taken off his bike.  We went over to the High School to practice and in about 20 minutes he was zooming around like a pro.

This is actually the 3rd time he caught the same butterfly.  The 1st time he was showing it to me from his hand and it flew away, the second time when he peeked at it he thought it was dead. so he opened his hand and it flew away and by the 3rd time I had found a jar so he quickly put it inside.

Dreamcatcher

Sarah, Kaylee's friend has been having bad dreams so Kaylee decided to make her a dreamcatcher. She picked out her materials at Michael's and had this finished later that same afternoon.

Good good good good

Before laying down to sleep Ben points in every direction and says good, good, good, good.  When asked why he does this he said, "so bad dreams don't come when I sleep."
